Simon

Simon Says: "Play Simon Now!"

Prepare for a musical duel of memory and concentration, based on the classic Milton-Bradley electronic game from the late seventies and early eighties. This time you are up against another fallible human, and your mission is to make him miss the beat, lose the rhythm, jinx the sequence, crash, burn and go home crying.

The first player to move touches a color and plays a note. The second then has to repeat the first note and add one of his own. The game then goes back to the first player, who repeats the two notes and adds a third, and so on and so forth, as the two players gradually compose their own little war tune.

As the sequence gets longer and longer, the joy of cooperative creativity is shadowed by a growing fear of making a mistake and pressing a note out of order. You have to be quick, you have to be precise, and you have to endure in order to make sure that it is your opponent who falls first.
