Come2Play Turn Based Multiplayer Contest

Come2Play is a full flash game development and distribution platform. The Come2Play API allows for the creation of turn based multiplayer games. Our platform is made to grow your game virally, here's how it works:

Contest:
Come2Play has teamed up with the LinkedIn Flash Game Developers group to offer the following prizes:
1st Place: $5,000
2nd Place: $2,000
3rd Place: $1,000

Deadlines:
The Come2Play Multiplayer Game Contest will run on a rolling basis starting November 4th, 2009.
The submission deadline for games that meet the contest criteria is 11:59 PM EST on January 31st, 2010.

Why you should enter:
This competition has absolutely no strings attached. We simply want developers to implement our great multiplayer API. Unlike other competitions, the submitted game does NOT need to be exclusive (the only version that exists on the internet), previously unreleased, advert-free or sponsor-link free.

What we are looking for:
Kick ass turn based games. We will be rating games based on the concept, originality, design, sound effects and music, game play and use of Come2Play's API features. Here's a list of some turn based game ideas for inspiration.

What you get:

Easy and fast distribution to 1,000 + publishers, social networks and SWF files for easy distribution

Virtual currency revenue from your games, in game ads and the ability to sell game sponsorship

Features
Support and resources to help you get your game live. Social features like chat, ranking, leaderboards and rewards are already built in. It's pretty simple. We'll help you get up and running using the Come2Play Multiplayer API and once live, help you distribute the game far and wide.

How to Enter:
Simply send a zipped file with the instructions, screenshot, thumbnail and game to submissions@come2play.com. Please make sure that you have followed all of the criteria and conditions as listed above. If you need assistance at any stage of game development, do not hesitate to contact us!

Criteria/Conditions:

• You must be a registered member of the ‘Flash Game Developers’ Group on Linkedin (free)
• You must be the original creator of any games you upload to own all rights to it.
• Whether you are awarded a contest prize or not, you are eligible for the revenue share and in-game ad revenue generated from your game.
• You are allowed to include links to your own site and/or that of your sponsor.
• Your game must fulfill the following technical requirements
  • Your game must be turn based and use Come2Play’s API functionality for turn based games
  • Minimum Flash 9
  • Actionscript 3 compliant
  • Integrate with Come2Play’s API
  • Include game instructions, at least one screen shot, and a 200x200 game thumbnail
• Your game must include a practice mode. It can be a simple practice mode to get people used to the game.
• Your game must comply with the official contest rules.
• The content of your game must comply with the Come2Play Terms of Service.
• You retain all intellectual property and distribution rights to your game. By participating in the contest and uploading your game, you grant Come2Play a non-exclusive license to display your game throughout Come2Play’s network.
• Games are eligible for prizes only during the contest period.
• You may submit as many games as you want but can only win once per contest period.
• If you are under 18 and are awarded a prize, you must receive consent from a parent or guardian before the prize is issued.
• Demos/incomplete games are not eligible for prizes. A demo refers to a game that requires player to go to another site in order to play the complete full game.
